Presentation of Alter Sport
We are a Slovenian sport agency and for the last ten years, we deal with outdoor sport activities, such as: rafting, kayaking, canyoning and caving. We are located in the village of Posavec, about 14 km distance from better-known Bled in Gorenjska region, where we have our rafting centre. There, we usually end our rafting descents.
With a partner, who owns a small hotel, with a restaurant at the same place, we can also offer food and accommodation, as well as sport activities.
Rafting
Rafting can be organized on the rivers of Sava Dolinka, Sava Bohinjka and the Sava. We provide all necessary equipment (neoprene clothes, life jackets, helmets, paddles,… ) Participants need to have a pair of sport shoes or sport sandals, a spare T-shirt and bathing costume. All of these will most probably get wet during the trip.
Mini raft - inflatable canoes Avantura
Mini raft is an inflatable canoe for two or three persons. Being extremely stable and easy to steer, it is user-friendly, suitable for beginners as well as for those who have been rowing before. In the Rafting centre Posavec, our guests are welcome to hire these boats or can ask for organised guided descent down the river. The necessary equipment is the same as for rafting. Guided trip: Participants in two or three persons paddle in the canoe, a guide attend them in his own kayak or in one of the canoes.
Canyoning
We can guide you through the following gorges: Mostnica, Jereka and Grmečica. The equipment available for you in our agency consists of: a safety helmet, a life jacket, neoprene clothing and neoprene socks. A spare T-shirt, bathing costume shorts and mountain or sport shoes will be needed. All of these will most probably get wet during the course of the day.
Caving
There are many caves and precipices in the area of Gorenjska, among these there are a few that can be visited by tourists, especially if accompanied by an experienced guide. You can go to Turk cave, Jerala precipice, Govic cave, Cave under Babji zob or any other cave in Gorenjska or the Karst with us. We lend all the necessary equipment and advise our guests to put on some warm clothes and mountain boots.
Food and accommodation
In a private hotel Hram Sv. Jošta in the village of Posavec, there are nine double bedded **** rooms with bathroom, TV, bar and balcony, plus a restaurant (120 seats) and a wine cellar (60 seats). In the immediate vicinity, there is a pleasant islet on the river Sava, with a restaurant under a hayrack and a tent (150 seats), where food from barbecue or in a kettle is prepared and served. There are also playgrounds for beach volleyball and tennis and you can hire an archery instructor, too. We can even organize paintball competition.
